QUACK! QUACK! QUACK! The ducks are back - woo hoo!
The Estes Park Rotary Club’s Duck Race is underway and we need you to participate this year. “Funds we receive from the ducks you adopt will be used for our scholarship fund and also for donations to the Allenspark Fire Department and other community causes we support each year" said club president, Tom Kostohyrz. So please adopt lots of ducks -- in addition to them being so cute, this is a great fund raiser for our club’s projects. The race is May 3rd.
It’s really easy. The website address is epduckrace.org. All you need to do is click on Allenspark Area Club in red…we are on the top of the community organizations list, and once you click on that and you participated last year, the site remembers your info and credit card info, so it is pretty painless. If this is your first time to participate, you’ll need to fill in the blanks, of course. Same cost as last year, $25 per individual adoption; “quack packs” buy 5 and you get one free. The club receives $23 per adopted duck.
Also--“more prizes than ever”! You’ll be notified by email when you win a prize; you do not need to be present to win. Why not make it a fun day and go to watch the ducks floating down Fall River. Many of the organizations who are part of this event will have booths you can visit.
